21st is The Longest Day
District
4 is participating in the ACBL’s efforts to support the
Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day Fund Raising
Event. The Longest Day is June 21st and ACBL clubs nationwide
are conducting 16 hours of continuous bridge related activities
to represent the daily efforts of caregivers whose loved ones
have Alzheimer’s. Since this day is during the District
4, King of Prussia Regional Tournament, we have elected not to
run a separate charity bridge playing table. However, we will
have a display table to help raise awareness of the growing threat
this illness presents to our aging population, and of course we
will be accepting donations to this great cause.
